Wesley Jarrett is currently a senior at North Carolina State University with majors in Biochemistry and Chemistry; and minors in Genetics and Biomanufacturing. Wesley hopes to attend graduate school in the fall of 2010 at North Carolina State’s Department of Biochemistry. Wesley is interested in post-translational modification and gene regulation. Wesley is currently assisting Christina Williams with anchoring vertebrae genomes of various species including the African Elephant.
In his free time, Wesley enjoys playing with his animals and trying new recipes on the grill. Wesley’s animals, Bernie (Great Pyrenees), Hammer (Pembroke Welsh Corgi), Pete, Cooper (both orange tabby cats), Gunny (‘fat’ black cat), and Ollie (Vietnamese pot-belly pig), also enjoy their playtime and hanging around the grill to collect any failed attempts.
