Ashley received her BS in Biology and BA in Statistics from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She is a DVM/PhD dual degree student. She completed the second year of veterinary school at NC State University in the Spring of 2023 and then began her PhD in Comparative Biomedical Sciences. Ashley is interested in epidemiology and preventing disease in wildlife. Currently, she is studying the effects of trace elements and PFAS on the health of sea lions living in the Galápagos and the coastal region of California. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing guitar, participating in intramural sports, and spending time with her dogs Mapes and Hitch.
